Corps of Engineer Services Carrom Team shows their talents in Carrom at the Inter Regiment carom Tournament held in 2022. The Tournament was held from 21 to 25 of March 2022 at Gymnasium, Army Cantonment, Panagoda. S/6S00204 SGT Susantha KD won the Runners Up under the over 40 years Single category and S/8S00513 Cpl Jayashantha KNK won the Runners Up in open men, Single event.

The Corps of Engineer Services celebrated its 72nd anniversary in a grand scale at the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda on 10 January 2022. Brigadier KMS Kumara the Director Engineer Services and the Colonel Commandant CES graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and he was warmly welcomed by Brigadier SN Kithulgoda USP the Centre Commandant CES at the main entrance of the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters. After receiving the Guard Turnout accorded the Colonel Commandant, he placed floral tributes at the Corps of Engineer Services War Heroes Memorial in honour of fallen War Heroes. Thereafter, in accordance with military formalities, a colorful parade was held in salute of the Colonel Commandant.

The five-storied new officers’ Mess building complex of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), erected at the Regimental Centre at Panagoda was formally warmed this morning (2) and vested in the CES Officers during a simple ceremony, graced by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) as the Chief Guest.
