In commemoration of the 4th anniversary of the Pearl Edge Holiday Bungalow in Weerawila, a religious event was successfully organized under the direction of RHQ CES, with the active participation of the Commanding Officer of the 10(V) Engineer Services Regiment, along with officers and the dedicated staff of the holiday bungalow on 28 November 2024.

Following the direction given by RHQCES, a lecture on the prevention of drug addiction and drug trafficking was organized and conducted by 7(V) ESR today (27) at the auditorium of Narahenpita Military Hospital, organized by the 71 Project Squadron. The session, attended by 4 officers and 264 soldiers , was delivered by Dr. Gayan Jayawardena, a renowned psychiatrist and co-founder of the Saddham Arya Foundation. Dr. Jayawardena, known for conducting numerous awareness programs on addiction, provided valuable insights into combating drug abuse addressing the challenges of drug trafficking. The lecture was concluded by addressing the soldiers personally, working in 15 storied Military hospital construction site.

Mr. D.S.H. Anura Priyachandana, a civilian employee, was recruited by the Directorate of Civil Administration on 28 October 1992, for the position of Mess Service Assistant and subsequently attached to the Sri Lanka Army. He has rendered dedicated service to the 10 (V) Engineer Services Regiment for nearly 10 uninterrupted years since 15 March 2015. As of 25 November 2024, he will proceed on pre-retirement leave after serving this camp with distinction.

The 17 Engineer Services Regiment celebrated its 10th Anniversary on 11 November 2024.The anniversary day was consisted of a Guard turnout and a Ceremonial parade for the present Commanding Officer Lt Col EADP Edirisinghe Lsc followed by laying the foundation stone for the proposed Corporal’s club, planting of sapling and All-ranks lunch.

Inter Regiment Chess Competition 2024 was held at Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Signal Corps From 21 to 25 October 2024. The team CES was able to secure the Runners up in overall performances in the tournament.
