The annual CES Officers Get together organized in parallel to 73rd Anniversary Corps Day Celebrations was held at 'Home of Creators', Panagoda on 18 February 2023 with the participations of a large gathering of serving and retired Officers and their spouses. Brig KMSKumara, the Col Comd CES and the Director Engineer Services graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Corps of Engineer Services bade farewell to Brig SN Kithulgoda USP who served as the Brigadier (A/Q) of 1 Corps, on 31 Jan 2023 who is to be retired from the Army on 02 Feb 2023 after rendering a 28 years of exemplary and distinguished service to the Corps of Engineer Services ,Sri Lanka Army and the Nation.

On 10th of 2023 January a musical evening were held for the 73rd Corps Day of CES with the participation for large gathering. Brig KMS Kumara, the Colonel Commandant CES and Director Engineer Services and Mrs Deepika Prashanthi Chandrasena, the Hon President if CES Seva Vanitha Branch graced occasion as the colourful evening.

Corps of Engineer Services celebrated its 73rd Anniversary was held splendidly at RHQ CES on 10 January 2023. A Guard turnout followed by a Ceremonial Parade was accorded to Brig KMS Kumara, the Colonel Commandant CES and Director Engineer Services. After the group photo appeared, the Colonel Commandant participated in a tea party, opened the swimming pool of the Home of Creators, inaugurated the reconstructed two-storied building and presented the relevant certificates to the ORs who have the NVQ Level 3 certificate of the Corps of Engineer Services.

In conjunction with the 73rd Anniversary of the Corps of Engineer Service , the annual War Heroes Memorial Ceremony was held on January 06, 2023 at the Corps of Engineer Service Regimental Centre. After the religious ceremonies, the senior Officers paid floral tributes to the CES War Heroes Memorial and remembered the fallen war heroes.

In conjunction with the 73rd anniversary of the Corps of Engineering Services, the all night pirith chanting was held at the Regimental Centre from the night of 06 January 2023, to the next day, to pay tribute to the fallen war heroes of CES and to the people and residents of serving as well as the flags of CES. The Casket and the venerable Maha Sangha was carried out in a beautiful procession. And on the next day, a donation of alms giving was also made for the venerable Maha Sangharatna.

In connection with the 73rd Anniversary celebrations, the Corps of Engineer Services conducted Multi Religious observances to invoke blessing on all the members of the Corps. The Hindu Religious was conducted at Mayurapathi Sri Bhadrakali Amman Kovil, Wellawatte on 03.01.2023. Lt Col NN Abeysekara CES,SO I(A) Maj PLKP Alwis CES (Snr Arch – Hospital Project (Nara)) , Officers and ORs participated to this event.
