Under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, the Chairperson of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES-SVB), a book donation programme was held on Thursday (09) at the Regimental Headquarters, CES.
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit graced the occasion as the chief guest. The objective of this programme was to fulfill the requirements of school accessories for selected 200 children of officers, soldiers and civil staff of the Corps of Engineer Services those who have got through the Scholarship Examination -2023 and the children who have obtained 9As for GCE Ordinary Level Examination in the year 2022.
Each gift pack included books and stationary items, ensuring that the recipients are equipped for academic success. A tea reception followed the donation ceremony which enable to have informal interaction between the president, ASVU and the attendees of the event.
Senior members of CES-SVB, senior lady officers, lady officers were present at the occasion.
