  • Passing Out Parade – Recruit Course No:75

    Newly trained 188 recruits of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Course No - 75 passed out on Thursday (19) during a colourful parade at the SLCMP Training School in Giritale

    Major General D.K.G.D Sirisena, Colonel Commandant, SLCMP and Commander, Logistics Command graced as the Chief Guest of the day’s event and took the salute at the invitation of Colonel D.M.A Bandara, Commandant, SLCMP Training School

    Displays of drills, bands, tattoos and Angampora shows coloured the day’s chain of events witnessed by a large gathering of about 3,000 next of kin of those recruits, well-wishers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Army

    Lieutenant V.K.T Ranasinghe was awarded as the Best Platoon Commander of the parade and Staff Sergeant K.R.G.D Weerasinghe was selected as the Best Platoon Sergeant

    Corporal H.M.M.S Abeyrathna Banda was adjudged the Best Section Commander, Recruit H.M.M.S Herath, the Best Recruit (male), Recruit P.A.S Madushani, the Best Recruit (female), Recruit S.P.M Siriwardana, the Best Shooter (Male) and Recruit B.B.A.M Bandara, the Best Shooter (female) respectively

    Major B.L.S.K Balasuriya was the Parade Commander who was also the Chief Instructor for the course. Captain R.G.N.S Abeyrathna served as the 2nd in Command of the parade

  • 1ST REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE CELEBRATES ITS 70TH ANNIVERSARY

    The 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated its 70th Anniversary on 24th October 2019 at the Regiment’s Headquarters in Polhengoda. The celebration begun on 19th October 2019 with friendly soft ball cricket tournament held at Angampitiya ground in Kotte. The religious activities started on 23rd October 2019 to invoke blessing on the Regiment, Corps and the war Heroes of the Corps who paid supreme sacrifice to protect our motherland. To mark the Regimental day, Guard turn out followed by the ceremonial parade was accorded to the Commanding Officer 1st SLCMP Major RMN Rathnayake USP Lsc. Then he planted a sapling at the camp premises. The anniversary lunch was held at the Corporals’ Club with participation of the Commanding Officer and All Ranks of the Battalion, where the Commanding Officer addressed All Ranks. The serious of events concluded on 1st December 2019 with All Ranks get-together held at Laya Beach Hotel Wadduwa.

  • OPENING CEREMONY OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED CPLS’ CLUB AND KITCHEN

    Newly Constructed CPLS’ Club and Cook house of the Headquarters 3rd Sri Lanka Crops Of Military Police (3SLCMP) Opened at Anuradhapura - Galkulama On 07th November 2019 Under the patronage the Commander Logistics Command Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Crops of Military Police Major General DKGD Sirisena on the invitation of Commanding Officer of 3rd SLCMP Lieutenant Colonel MMMP Mahesh Kumara, Officers of RHQ SLCMP and All Ranks Of 3rd SLCMP were attended to the event.

  • THREE DAYS WORKSHOP TO DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL SKILLS ,KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES OF MILITARY POLICE PERSONNEL

    The view of Commander of the Army and the direction of the Colonel Commandant and Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police conducted three days workshop to develop professional skills, Knowledge and competencies of Military Police personal from 04th November 2019 to 06th November 2019. The opening address conducted by the Colonel Commandant SLCMP and following lectures conducted by the guest lecturers during the workshop.

  • ANNUAL BOOK DONATION PROGRAMME OF SEVA VANITHA BRANCH – SLCMP

    Book donation programme was held for the 5th time on 13th October 2019 at the Regimental Headquarters, Colombo 05. Total no. of 21961 books worth approximately 2 million rupees were donated to a total no. of 1442 schooling children of all the officers, other rankers, KIA, MIA, WIA soldiers and civilians who serve in SLCMP for the academic year 2020. Books were donated to 55 children symbolizing the ceremony.

  • WINNERS OF INTER REGIMENTAL COMPETITION – 2019

    The prize giving of the Sri Lanka Army Inter Regimental Drill, Band and Pace stick Competition was held on 03 October 2019 at the Parade ground of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Panagoda. The Women’s platoon of this Regiment won the first place, while the Platoon Commander of the Women’s platoon, Lt JAKK Jayasinghe was awarded as the best Commander (Women) of this year’s Competition.

  • THE MUSICAL SHOW EVENT CONDUCTED CONCURRENT TO THE 29TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

  • VISIT OF THE COMMANDER LOGISTICS COMMAND AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE TO 6TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    Visit of Commander Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General DKGD Sirisena USP on the invitation of Lt Col MMW Rupasinghe Commanding Officer 6 SLCMP on 15th August 2019 at the Mullaitivu. He was presented a Guard Turnout awarded by the Troop of the respective unit and declared open of Newly constructed Officers Accommodation at 6 SLCMP. After planting of a tree sapling, All Ranks tea and Troop Address culminated the days proceeding. Centre Commandant, Col AL Illangakoon, Officers and number of Other Rankers associated with the event.
