  • MILITARY FORMALITIES TO THE NEWLY PROMOTED COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Major General DKGD Sirisena USP being promoted to the rank of Major General Military formalities were held at the Regimental Headquarters on 5 November 2018.

  • RETIREMENT PARTY OF PROVOST BATCH NO – 44

    Retirement party of Provost Batch No 44 was held at Regimental Headquarters on 19 October 2018. Colonel Commandant of the Regiment & the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event. Centre Comdt and many Senior Officers of the Regiment and members of the Provost Batch no 44 participated for the occasion with their families. Members of the Provost Batch was appreciated by the Colonel Commandant for the service rendered by them. Members and their families were presented with tokens of appreciation.

  • COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE VISITED 6TH CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brig DKGD Sirisena USP made his official visit on 14 September 2018 in the 6 Corps of Military Police which is established at Mulaitive.

  • MILITARY POLICE MARK 28TH ANNIVERSARY

    Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police marks its Anniversary on 19th April, each year. 28th Anniversary programme was scheduled without hindering the New Year, Vesak Festival and AHQ programmes. Regimental Headquarters arranged a Guard Turn out, Ceremonial Parade, Tree Planting, Troops Address and All Ranks Lunch giving priority for Military formalities in. Last event was concluded with a colorful musical show arranged with the participation famous singers in the island.

  • INTER UNIT DRILL COMPETITION - 2018

    10th June 2018 15:18:55 Hours

    Inter Unit Drill Competition was held on 01 June 2018 at Girithale. Well trained drill platoons from 1 SLCMP, 2 SLCMP, 3 SLCMP, 4 SLCMP, 5 SLCMP, 6 SLCMP and 7 SLCMP participated for the competition. Colonel Commandant graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Senior Officers, Officers, RSMs, SNCOs an NCOs participated for the event. First place secured by 3 SLCMP Second place by 2 SLCMP and third place 4 SLCMP. O/68715 CAPT AA Wickrmarathne of 3 SLCMP awarded as the Best Commander of the competition, and S/676957 S/Sgt Madanayaka MC was awarded as the Best Drill Instructor.

  • WAR HEROES REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY AT GIRITALE

    The commemoration of fallen war heroes by Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with simultaneous to the National Remembrance Ceremony, was held on 18 May 2018 at the monument Girithale.56 war heroes from Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, including 7 x Offrs and 1 x WMP who did their supreme sacrifice to the motherland, were commemorated on that day.

  • OPENING CEREMONY OF UNIT ACCOUNT COURSE

    The opening address of "Unit Account Course" was held on 23 April 2018 at the Cpls' Club of Regimental Centre of SLCMP. Provost Marshal and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brigadier DKGD Sirisena USP graced the event as the Chief Guest. The course will be conducting as the 4th stage under the supervision of Dte of Provost Marshal.

    Officers cottage declared open by Brig DKGD Sirisena USP the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army with the invitation of Col ASP Podiralahamie USP the Centre Commandant of RHQ SLCMP on 20th April 2018.

  • PIRITH CHANTING CEREMONY AND ALMS GIVING AT HOME OF PROVOST

    Simultaneous to the 28th anniversary day celebrations of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, an all-night "Pirith Chanting Ceremony" was held on 19 April 2018 to commemorate provost war heroes who paid their supreme sacrifice to the motherland during the war in last three decades. Prior to the event, the newly constructed "Budu Madura" at Home of Provost was declared open by Brigadier DKGD Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army. An alms giving was followed on the next day at the Officers' Mess for 28 members of Maha Sanga.

  • "ALUTH AURUDU" ALL RANKS TEA

    Officers and Soldiers of the Sri Lanka Corps of Mlitary Police welcomed the Sinhala and Hindu New year traditionally. All ranks Tea was jointly organized by the RHQ SLCMP, 1 SLCMP and SIU on 18 April 2018. Brigadier DKGD Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army graced the event as the chief guest.
