Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army Brigadier DKGD Sirisena USP has visited 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at mailaddy Kankesanturei on 27 December 2017. Commanding officer of 4 SLCMP Lt Col IR Hanthanearachchi welcomed the Provost Marshal. The event consisted with a Guard turnout, tree planting, group photograph, troops address and a tea party.
Provost Marshal declared opened the main cook house of 4 SLCMP during his visit.

Inter Regiment Karate Tournament of Sri Lanka Army was held from 11 to 15 of December 2017 at - APTS Panagoda. During the competition the Karate Team of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was able to secure 12x gold medals, 09x Silver medals and 08x Bronze medals in the competition.

The Colonel commandant of the Sri Lanka Corp of Military Police Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP opened 08 newly installed Air Conditioners on 27 November 2017 at Corporals' Club - RHQ SLCMP with the invitation of the Centre Comdt, Colonel ASP Podiralahamie USP. Col Comdt addressed the troops at Corporals' Club, with regard to the welfare improvements of the regiment.

The event consisted with a Guard Turnout to the Colonel Commandant, group photograph, troop address and All Ranks Tea. A tree was planted to commemorate the event.

The visit of the Colonel Commandant Brig DKGD Sirisena USP to the Special Investigation unit was held on 22nd September 2017. The event commenced with the guard turn out to the colonel commandant followed by the briefing by the Commanding Officer, troop address by colonel commandant and the all ranks tea. A memento was gifted to the colonel commandant to commemorate the event. The lunch was held at the RHQ officers’ Mess with the participation of all officers of SIU and 1 SLCMP.
