  • ALL NIGHT PIRITH CHANTING AND ALMS GIVING AT THE HOME OF PROVOST TO CELEBRATE 27 REGIMENTAL DAY

    An all night ‘Pirith Chanting’ ceremony held on 21 April 2017 to commemorate Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police personnel killed and missing in action during active service and to invoke blessings paralleled to Regimental Day followed by an Alms Giving for 27 members of the Maha Sangha on 22 April 2017.

  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE PROUDLY CELEBRATED IT'S 27TH CORPS DAY AT HOME OF PROVOST

    The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated it's 27th Anniversary on 28 April 2017 at the Regimental Centre, Polhengoda. The celebration began on 19, 21 and 25 April 2017 with religious activities to invoke blessings on the Corps and the war heroes of the Corps who paid the supreme sacrifice to protect our motherland.

  • NEW YEAR TEA PARTY

    Officers and soldiers of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated the New Year and 27th Corps Day according to traditions by organizing a special tea party for all ranks at RHQ Cpls' Club on 19th April 2017. Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal lit the traditional oil lamp inaugurating the tea party rich with traditional sweetmeats. Towards the end of the party, the Colonel Commandant extended New Year greetings for all participants. A large number of officers and soldiers including Centre Commandant and CO - SIU were presented on the occasion.

  • ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE COLONEL COMMANDANT

    Brig DKGD Sirisena USP assumed duties as the 8th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 12th April 2017. Newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant and all officers of the Regiment. A Guard turnout, tree planting and religion activities were held paralleled to assuming duties.

  • THE DINNING OUT

    The Dinning out was held at the Officers Mess of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with the participation of the Senior Officers, Officers with their spouses on 4 April 2017 for the outgoing Colonel Commandant Brig VN Coswatte RSP and the outgoing President of the Provost Ladies Club Mrs. Manthri Coswatte. The Commander FMA (MLT) Brig CS Atipola USP Lsc presented a token of appreciation to the outgoing Colonel Commandant on behalf of the Regiment and Mrs. Shyamali Atipola presented a token of appreciation to the outgoing President of the Provost Ladies Club.

  • THE DEPARTURE OF THE COLONEL COMMANDANT

    The farewell formalities for the Colonel Commandant Brig VN Coswatte RSP held on 4 April 2017 at the Regimental Headquarters. A Ceremonial parade, Tea at WOs' and Sgts' Mess troop address followed by an All ranks lunch was held at the Regimental Headquarters.

  • SLCMP TROOPS TOOK OVER CEREMONIAL DUTIES

    The change-over of the ceremonial guard at the President’s House and the Temple Trees took place this morning during a brief ceremony in front of the President’s House at Colombo-Fort.

  • NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOLIDAY BUNGALOW FOR OFFICERS AND ORS

    Newly constructed holiday bungalow for Officers and ORs was declared open by the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and Commander Forward Maintenance Area (N) Brig VN Coswatte RSP on 23rd March 2017 on the invitation of the Commanding Officer 5 SLCMP, Lt Col AMR Abeysinghe.

  • PASSING OUT PARADE OF NEW PROVOST COURSE 70

    01st February 2018 21:55:11 Hours

    Passing out parade of Provost Course 70 was held at School of Military Police at Girithale on 3 March 2017. Col ERP Weerawardhana (Colonel Provost) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with the invitation of Commandant School of Military Police, Lt Col DMA Bandara. 142 recruits of our Regiment have completed their Recruit Course successfully.

  • ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE COMMANDING OFFICER OF 7 REGIMENT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE.

    Maj KCPK Vithanage RSP assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the 7th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 22 February 2017. Newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by the all officers of the Unit.
