The Colonel commandant of the Sri Lanka Corp of Military Police Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP opened 08 newly installed Air Conditioners on 27 November 2017 at Corporals' Club - RHQ SLCMP with the invitation of the Centre Comdt, Colonel ASP Podiralahamie USP. Col Comdt addressed the troops at Corporals' Club, with regard to the welfare improvements of the regiment.

The Celebration of Second Anniversary of 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police held on 17 November 2017 at newly established camp premises at Manik Kanda, Diyathalawa. Prior to the anniversary day celebrations. Flag Blessing Ceremony was held on 6 November 2017 at Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy and 14th November 2017 in Katharagama Maha Dewalaya and Kiri Wehera premises. Inter Company Cricket match was held on 12 November 2017 and 7 SLCMP HQ team Secured the Championship of the tournament.

The visit of the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and the Provost Marshal - Sri Lanka Army Brig DKGD Sirisena USP to the 5th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was held on 28 September 2017. The event consisted with a Guard Turnout to the Colonel Commandant, group photograph, troop address and All Ranks Tea. A tree was planted to commemorate the event.

The visit of the Colonel Commandant Brig DKGD Sirisena USP to the Special Investigation unit was held on 22nd September 2017. The event commenced with the guard turn out to the colonel commandant followed by the briefing by the Commanding Officer, troop address by colonel commandant and the all ranks tea. A memento was gifted to the colonel commandant to commemorate the event. The lunch was held at the RHQ officers’ Mess with the participation of all officers of SIU and 1 SLCMP.

Passing out parade of Provost Course 71- B was held at School of Military Police at Girithale on 21 Aug 2017. Brig IOW Madola ( The Centre Comdt - SLCMP) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with the invitation of the Commandant School of Military Police and many snr offrs attended the event. 73 recruits of our Regiment have completed their Provost Course successfully.
