Newly constructed holiday bungalow for Officers and ORs was declared open by the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and Commander Forward Maintenance Area (N) Brig VN Coswatte RSP on 23rd March 2017 on the invitation of the Commanding Officer 5 SLCMP, Lt Col AMR Abeysinghe.

Passing out parade of Provost Course 70 was held at School of Military Police at Girithale on 3 March 2017. Col ERP Weerawardhana (Colonel Provost) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with the invitation of Commandant School of Military Police, Lt Col DMA Bandara. 142 recruits of our Regiment have completed their Recruit Course successfully.

Maj KCPK Vithanage RSP assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the 7th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 22 February 2017. Newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by the all officers of the Unit.

The newly constructed officers mess at School of Military Police was declared open by the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP Brigadier V N Coswatte RSP with the participation of council members, COs, other offrs and NCOs of SLCMP on 14th January 2017. It has constructed within a period of 04 months and 20 days by using self created funds, local resources and technical expertise and the project has initiated by the Commandant and all staff of SMP.
