The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) seeks applications for enlistment of female professional machine operators to the Ranaviru Apparels at Yakkala and Alawwa. Professionally qualified female Other Ranks as machine operators with extra-curricular qualifications are eligible to apply for enlistment to the Army before 21 August 2020.

An awareness programme on ‘Alcohol and Drug Prevention’ was conducted on 24 July 2020 at Headquarters Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force under the guidance of Major General T S Bangsajayah RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force with the purpose of educating the Officers and Other Ranks who are serving at HQ SLAVF acoording to the instructions given by Adjutant General’s Branch, Army Headquarters. The subjected programme was conducted by Mr. Pubudu Sumanasekara, the Executive Director of Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC). This programme was conducted coincide with the COVID 19 prevention programmes.
