SRI LANKA ARMY VOLUNTEER FORCE CELEBRATES ITS 141st ANNIVERSARY

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force deserves the salutation of the nation for its integration in safeguarding the sovereignty of this land under every circumstance. It is proudly proclaimed that the Volunteer Force is heading its way forward to reaching the heights of success that are expected by every individual of this soil.

In such a glimpse of the path, the Volunteer Force takes pride in celebrating its onset following a successful alignment to prolific working days passed. On 01 April 2022, the Volunteer Force proudly marked its commemoration of the establishment bestowing the blessings of performing a series of events for another triumph of the journey ahead.

Invoking the blessing of the strength of practice, Alms Giving was held at the Sandesewana Elders Home, Hanwella on 31 March 2022. Nominated Senior Officers and Other Ranks participated in performing the Alms Giving and the residents at home were provided with alms and presented gift packs that brought them a memorable moment filled with happiness and contentment.

The main religious ceremony, a Bodhi Pooja was conducted at the Shrine Room of the Camp Premises remembering every member who shed their blood and perspiration years back for the betterment of the establishment on 01 April 2022.
