Lt Col KMAPK Kahanthen assumed duties as 4th Commanding Officer of 5 SLAMC on 7th September 2017.He succeeded Major MDHR Sumanasekara RSPA guard turnout, religious activities,tree planting, troop address, all ranks tea party and camp visit marked his assumption of duties as Commanding Officer.

Officers and Other Rankers of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps celebrated the 68th Army Day by launching series of programms at Regimental Centre Werahara.The 68 th Army day programs begins with raising of the Flag and recital of Army song and two minute silence in honour of War Heroes.& Naa Trees were planted around the camp by Officer and Others Ranks of SLAMC to mark the 68th anniversary, followed by all ranks tea and all ranks lunch.Brigadier WMJRK Senaratne, Centre Commandant SLAMC together with Officers and Other rankers attended those programms.
