16 Officers and 50 Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps departed the country early hours on 27th June 2017 as the annual exchange of personnel for Level II hospital United Nation Mission in South Sudan from Bandaranayake International Air port.The contingent including four Consultants, Doctors, Nurses Paramedical and Clerical Staff Command by Ly Col MPSR Amarasekara USP. Lt Col LKIG Lokuketagoda (Staff Officer I - RHQ SLAMC), Senior Officers and family members of the departing troops were present at the air port.

Centre Commandant Brigadier WMJRK Senarathne together with Staff Officers of RHQ SLAMC made his official visit to Third Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps on 27th July 2017.The Centre Commandant was received by Major WMHS Weerasooriya Commanding Officer 3 SLAMC on arrival and accorded with a Guard Turnout by the troops of 3SLAMC.The Centre Commandant was briefed on the role, responsibilities and the issues pertaining to 3 SLAMC by the Commanding Officer. Thereafter, the Centre Commandant addressed the Officers and all ranks of 3SLAMC and planted a tree to mark his visit.The Centre Commandant and the visiting Officers attended the lunch at the 3 SLAMC Officers' Mess.
