SRI LANKA ARMY MEDICAL CORPS CELEBRATED 29TH ANNIVERSARY

Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps celebrated their 29th Coy Day on 15th January 2019 at the Regimental Headquarters, Werahara.

A guard turnout and a Guard of Honour were accorded to the Director General Army Health Services and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Medical Corps Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP USP, at the Regimental Headquarters. The Colonel Commandant was received by the Centre Commandant Brig WMJRK Senaratne RWP RSP. During the Guard of Honour the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP USP addressed the gathering and extended his gratitude for the commitment of Officers and ORs’ for the uplifting the standard of the Medical Corps. The Guard of Honour was commanded by Lt Col KMAPK Kahanthen USP.

Subsequently to the Guard of Honour, All religious ceremony was held at the RHQ premises to bless for success and prosperity. After the religious ceremony Colonel Commandant has signed the Event book to mark the occasion followed by a mango tree sapling by the Colonel Commandant to mark the event memorable.

Regimental Sergeant Major invited Colonel Commandant and all officers’ to participate for the tea arranged at the WOs’ & Sgts’ mess. Later The Col Commandant was invited for the all ranks lunch at the ORs’ mess.
