RHQ SLAMC, Werahera stepped in to a new chapter in the history of Medical Corps at the dawn of its 28th year by declare opening a new office building complex on the 15 January 2018. Further, on the very day the 28th anniversary of the Regiment of SLAMC was celebrated.

Officers and Other Rankers of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps celebrated the 68th Army Day by launching series of programms at Regimental Centre Werahara.
The 68 th Army day programs begins with raising of the Flag and recital of Army song and two minute silence in honour of War Heroes.

Special workshop for SLAMC troops conducted at Army Hospital, Narahenpita on management of Rabies and intradermal administration of anti rabies vaccine.
This workshop conducted by DrAmila Gunasekara from Anti Rabies Campaign and coordinated by Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health.

New Buddha statue was unveiled at Army Hospital premises, Narahenpita in the morning hours on 03rd May 2014. Major General SH Munasinghe, Director General Army Health Services, Brig KP Sumanapala, Director Army Medical Services, Brig DTN Munasinghe President Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Seva Vanitha branch, Lt Col KPN Pathirana, Commanding Officer Army Hospital and host of senior officers of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps were present on this occasion.

His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared opened the largest new Military Hospital on 05th of May 2014. The ceremony was held at the Military Hospital premises in Narahenpita. Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake accompanied the president on a visit to witness the new facility during the ceremony. A special stamp was also issued symbolically to mark the grand opening ceremony and the first stamp was presented to the President.

The Poson day "Sil" programme organized by the Seva Vanitha branch of SLAMC was held at Army Hospital Narahenpita on 01st June 2014. Senior Officers, including the Colonel Commandant and the President of Seva Vanitha branch SLAMC observed Sil with Officers and Other Ranks.

Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps was moved to their own and permanent location at Army Camp - Werahera on 15th October 2015. The new office complex and the Centre Comdt Office was declared opened by Brig HR Wickramasinghe USP - Centre Comdt (RHQ SLAMC). Construction of the main HQ building for RHQ SLAMC is near completion.
