Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps staged a grand musical show as the final segment of the 30th Regimental Anniversary on 15th January 2020.
Director General Army Health Services and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP VSV USP participated as the Chief Guest and received by the SLAMC Centre Commandant. The event started with lighting of traditional oil lamp by the Chief Guest and other serving /retired Senior Offrs. Followed by presentation of awards to the inter Battalion Volleyball, Chess and Cricket Tournaments. Sri Lanka Army inter Regiment Chess Champions of year 2020 were also felicitated by awarding the Championship trophy and gifts.
The musical show commenced with a welcome dance by the CSD dancing Troupe. End of the first session of the musical show the Raffle draw first prize ticket was drawn by the Colonel Commandant and the Second prize ticket was drawn by Director Army Medical Services Brig PAC Fernando USP and followed by the 3rd prize ticket was drawn by Consultant Brig PG Wickrasuriya. The 20 consolation prizes were drawn by the Commanding Officers and Regimental Sargent Majors of the Battalions.
After the raffle draw the second session of musical show started with the famous artists Dayan Witharana, Supriya Abeysekara, Lucky Dewa, Iwanka Peiris, Anupama Katulanda and Many Ranawiru Real Stars entertained the audience along with their fascinating voices with the “Medics” band. The CSD dancing troupe performance added colours to the musical show with their talent throughout the session.
