THE OFFICERS TRAINING DAY FINAL SESSION FOR 2019 WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

As per the direction given by the Army Headquarters to conduct an Officers Training Day quarterly, Sri Lanka Army MedicalCorps conduct its final session for the year 2019 on 28November 2019 at Regimental Headquarters Werahara, under the supervision and guidance of the Colonel Commandant Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP VSV USP and Centre Commandant Brig DG Hewage RSP with the participation of over 102 Officers including Deputy Directors and Senior Officers.

The day's proceeding commenced with morning physical training for all Officers followed by foot/sward drills. Thereafter, The Colonel Commandant make the opening remarks of the Officers Training day. Brigadier MP Karunaratne IG - Commander Artillery Brigade conducted a presentation on “Army Traditions, Customs and Mess Etiquette” which was very useful specially for the young Officers. Col BMJ Balasooriya RWP RSP psc, Col QMG – QMG Br, presented the lecture on “Training, Development & Career Progression of Military Officers”. “The evening session commenced with the recreation by all Officers playing Cricket, Volleyball and Badminton.

The Diners’ Club started with the participating of Col Comdt. Brigadier MP Karunaratne IG, conducted a timely and worthy presentation on “Terrorism”.The day's proceedings came to an end with the dinner organized at Officers Mess RHQ – SLAMC.
