SLAMC HOST FELICITATION CEREMONY FOR RETIRED SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICERS

Felicitation Ceremony for the retired Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Army Medical corps was held on 19th September 2019 at the SLAMC Regtl Offrs Mess Werahara under the patronage of The Colonel Commandant SLAMC Maj Gen SH Munasinghe RWP RSP VSV USP, Centre Commandant, and with the participation of over 110 Senior Officers. Eleven Retired Senior Officers were present with their spouses for the felicitation ceremony while 4 Officers not attended due to medical/ other reasons but were felicitated. Directors, Deputy Directors, Consultants and large gathering of Serving Officers graced the occasion.

Colonel Commandant making a special note appreciated the great dedication and commitment made by the retired Senior Medical Officers. Souvenirs were presented to the Retired Senior Officers as a token of appreciation for their service rendered to the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps. Maj Gen C Thrairajah USP (Retd) given a vote of thanks and also he has memorized the past event that they have come across. The event made a good opportunity for Serving Officers to interact with the retired Officers of the Medical Corps. A Glamor to the event was added by the “Padura” music and performance of dancing troupe. After the interactive session with the officers, the Dinner was served at the Officers Mess. Following Retired Senior Officers were felicitated during the ceremony. Maj Gen C Thurairajah USP, Maj Gen KDP Perera USP, Maj Gen VK Jayasinghe USP, Brig HIK Fernando, Brig DTN Senanayake USP, Brig SDC De Silva RWP RSP, Brig SDS Warushawitharana USP, Col ADU Krishnaratne, Col SWS Somaweera, Col USP Amarasekara, Col WAS De Fernando. Following Officers who were not present also felicitated. Brig ICGR Jayaweera, Brig DR Karunaratne, Col UK Wijesinghe and Col RC Rajapaksha.
