The newly appointed 1 SLAMC Commanding Officer, Major DMDJ Dissanayake RSP USP assumed duties at 1 SLAMC.
A formal Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour Saluted the New Commanding Officer 1 SLAMC, upon his arrival at the 1 SLAMC Headquarters Premises in Werahera in Keeping With military traditions.
Afterwards, amidst religious blessings, he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office. Later, he tribute to fallen War heroes’ monument and planted a Sandalwood Sapling in the Premises as a symbol of memory. Afterwards, all ranks lunch was held at the OR’s dining hall.
