The SLAGSC officers training day for the 3rd quarter of 2018 was conducted at RHQ SLAGSC, Panagoda on 04 September 2018. Training programme for the day commenced with Physical Training parade at 0600 hrs with the participation of Colonel Commandant, council members, senior officers and approximately about 186 x officers including Legal, Accounts, Agriculture and other professional category officers of SLAGSC.

With the blessing of the Comd of the Army Lt Gen N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, a sum of Rs. 15 Millions was allocated by the QMG and Director General Engineer Services from Capital Votes for construction of a new Headquarter building for RHQ SLAGSC.

On the directions of the Commander of the Army, the commemoration of fallen war heroes’ ceremony was held with the chain of memorial event at the Regimental Centre - the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps at 0930 hrs on 18 May 2018 to commemorate fallen War Heroes who laid their lives on behalf of the motherland.

Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps celebrated her 29th Anniversary on 25 April 2018. The days proceedings commenced with a ceremonial guard turn out to Colonel Commandant Maj Gen W R Palihakkara USP at the entrance to the RHQ. Later the troops on parade commanded by Lt Col N A S C Perera SLAGSC saluted the Colonel Commandant amidst a large gathering of senior officers, officers and Other Ranks at the Regimental parade square. The parade was reviewed by Colonel Commandant and Centre Commandant Col W A A C P Weragoda USP accompanied him.
