NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL COMMANDANT BRIGADIER H A P P K HEWAWASAM ASSUMED THE OFFICE

Brigadier H A P P K Hewawasam who is Performing duties as the director Pay & Records assumed duties as the 14th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps amid religious blessings at the Regimental Centre on Monday, 02 August 2021.

Newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Brig A M K G P S K Abeysinghe, the Centre Commandant and then honored with the guard turnout followed by floral tribute to the Regimental War Heroes' monument. Then, Brigadier H A P P K Hewawasam placed his signature in the first official document to mark the assuming duty as Col Comdt, amidst chanting of Seth Pirith at the presence of council members, senior officers and regimental staffs at the RHQ SLAGSC. After the planting the tree to mark the event terminated with tea party.
