The Newly constructed HQ Building of Trade School, Sri Lanka Army General Crops (SLAGSC), Kuttigala was declared open on 29 January 2021. Major General Kumara Handunmulla, Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC on the invitation of Lieutenant Colonel MKSS De Silva" Commandant Trade School grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. A long felt need was accomplished when the new HQ building was declared open by the Colonel Commandant at auspicious time amidst Seth Pirith chanting by the Maha Sangha.

Annual ''pirith'' chanting ceremony got underway at the RHQ Cpl's Club with the participation of Colonel Commandant, Maj General Kumara Handunmulla, council members, senior members of SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch, Officers and Other Ranks. In keeping with age-old traditions Colonel Commandant invited the chief prelate to conduct the all night pirith chanting offering the tray of betel and a tray of flowers after they were ushered to the ''Pirith Mandapaya'' in a colourful perahera processin.

The newly constructed '' Lake View Leisure Holiday Bungalow '' at 5 (V) Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Kohilawagurawaththa - Ambalangoda was declared open by the Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC Maj Gen Chandana Kumara Handunmulla upon the invitation by the Commanding Officer 5 (V) SLAGSC Maj Jayantha Rajanayaka. The Centre Commandant and Other senior council members were present on the occasion.

RHQ SLAGSC organized the event with the guidance of Centre Comdt of SLAGSC Col A M K G P S K Abeysinghe. Maj Gen A K A B Gunarathne, Director General Agriculture & Livestock and Second Senior most officer serving SLAGSC retired from the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army after serving more than 33 years of distinguished service to the Nation on 02 January 2020. In keeping with the Military traditions the outgoing General Officer was accorded a Guard of Honour at the Regimental parade square which was followed by an all ranks tea party organized by RHQ SLAGSC at the Regimental Auditorium premises.
