A felicitation ceremony was held to honour of Major General CK Handunmulla, Col Comdt, SLAGSC who was promoted to the rank of Major General on 29 August 2019. The customary event was taken place on 03 September 2019 at Regimental Headquarters’ premises, Panagoda with participation of a large number of Officers and Other Ranks. All Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment, including council members extended their warm wishes to Col Comdt for his promotion.

The SLAGSC Officer's Training Day for the 2nd quarter of 2019 was conducted at RHQ SLAGSC Panagoda on 10 July 2019 as per the directions of Army HQ. The training programme for the day commenced with the Physical Training Parade at 0600 hrs with the participation of Senior Officers/Officers and approximately 175 which included Legal, Accounts, Agriculture and other professional officers of SLAGSC.

SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Branch hosted a donation programme on the directions given by Maj Gen W R Palihakkara VSV USP, the Col Comdt, SLAGSC and Mrs Kamani Palihakkara the President, Seva Vanitha Branch, SLAGSC. The donation programme was organized by the Regimental Staff Officers for the children of 108 soldiers of SLAGSC who have immensely contributed to construct recently inaugurated RHQ premises and other constructions to the Regiment. Donations were given accordingly to the age category of the children to uplift and support their educational requirement.
