A HOUSING PROJECT FOR THE NEEDY FAMILY HAS BEEN CARRY OUT IN LINE WITH THE 75TH ARMY DAY CELEBRATION ON 10.10.2023 ACCORDINGLY A HOUSE WITH POOR CONDITION WAS CHOSEN FOR RENOVATION ON 15 FEBRUARY 2024.

With the recommendation of the Grama Niladhari of Kundaluwila Village where the Palanuwa SLAGSC Farm under Command to 1 SLAGSC is located, a housing project for the needy family has been carry out in line with the 75th Army Day celebration on 10.10.2023 Accordingly a house with poor condition was chosen for renovation on 15 February 2024.

The renovation of the selected house was completed on 29 May 2024 under the supervision and guidance of the Commanding Officer, 1 SLAGSC, Major Prasanga Wanniarachchi and the officer Commanding Major Champika Weerakoon with generosity of the donors in the area and the contribution of the man power of the other ranks of 1 and 2 (V) battalion of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.

The renovated house was handed over to the owners by Major General W W H R R V M N D K B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc the Adjutant General and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps and Doctor Himali Niyangoda, The President of Sewa Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.

The handing over ceremony was graced by Seniors Sewa Wanitha Members, Col Sarath De Silva the Director ABF, Col Nalin De Silva the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers of Regimental Headquarters, Commanding Officers of 3, 4 and 2 (V) SLAGSC and Officers.
