The Newly constructed HQ Building of Trade School, Sri Lanka Army General Crops (SLAGSC), Kuttigala was declared open on 29 January 2021. Major General Kumara Handunmulla, Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of SLAGSC on the invitation of Lieutenant Colonel MKSS De Silva" Commandant Trade School grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. A long felt need was accomplished when the new HQ building was declared open by the Colonel Commandant at auspicious time amidst Seth Pirith chanting by the Maha Sangha.
The traditional oil lamp was lit by the Chief Guest along with senior officers to grace the event. Brigadier MWTC Mettananda USP" - Director Budget and Financial" Brigadier HAPPK Hewawasam – Director Pay and Records, Brigadier RPS PadmashanthaLsc – Director Army Benevolent Fund, Colonel AMKGPSK Abeysinghe – Centre Commandant of SLAGSC, officers and other rankers of Trade School SLAGSC attended the event. During the programme, the Chief Guest planted a mango tree sapling in the premises to mark the historic day of the Trade School. The day’s proceedings concluded after all ranks tea.
