Bak Maha Ulela 2013 (New Year Festival) organized by Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) and the Seva Vanitha Unit was held on Sunday 05 May 2013 amidst a gathering of Seva Vanitha members, SLSC Senior Officers, Disabled War Heroes, members of the corps with their families.
Major General E.P de Z Abeysekera, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps attended the occasion as the Chief Guest at the invitation of SLSC Seva Vanitha Unit.

Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch donated a educational scholarship to a child of a fallen war hero on 28th July 2013 at the Officers' Mess of AHQ at a ceremony organized by Signal Seva Vanitha Branch.
The scholarship was donated to a 14 years old son of S/277908 L/Cpl Bandara DMG (6SLSC) who passed away in last month due to battle injuries suffered 15 years ago.

Major General EP De Z Abeysekera USP, The Deputy Chief of Staff and the Colonel Commandant of SLSC declared open the newly build Officers Mess & Warrant Officer and Sargents Mess during the battalion visit held on 01st October 2013 at 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps (Rft) located at Suthanthirapuram.
