Under the guidance of the Commander of the 143 Infantry Brigade and under the supervision of the Acting Commanding Officer of the 16th Gajaba Regiment, a beach cleaning program was successfully conducted on 24 November 2024 at the Kalpitiya Ilanthadiya coastal area. This initiative was organized to contribute to environmental preservation, promote community awareness about the importance of maintaining clean coastal areas, and foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the troops and the local community.
