Poson festival 2020 in 54 Division Mannar Under taken Series of religious events were organised by the troops of 54 Division Under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 54 Division, Major General Indrajith Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu, troops of 54 Division by giving priorities to ‘Amisa Pooja’ and ‘Prathipaththi Pooja’.

The General Officer Commanding of 54 Division Major General AAIJ Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu paid a visit to Sri Vijaya Thilakaramaya, which is one of the sacred places in Mannar on 03 June 2020. During this visit Commander distributed packets of Dry Rations to the Chief Monk, Venerable Maha Wilachchiya Wimalarathana thero at the Sri Vijaya Thilakaramaya and to the families of low income who are living at Kondaichchi Sinhala Village in Mannar.

The last back lot of 31 persons at Pompemadhu Quarantine Center returned home this morning (17 May) after completing of their quarantine process. This group is from Monaragala and Kandy arrears who underwent a quarantine period of 18 days at Pompemadhu Quarantine Center, Vavuniya. At the time of their departure they were issued with a certificate for undergoing the quarantine at Quarantine Center.
