General Officer Commanding Major General Samantha Silva extended his hand of friendship to a civil worker to put up a toilet along with ablutions facilities at Maithree Mawatha, Padvi-Parakramapura through Division manpower and financial backing from the General Officer Commanding.
The project was made a reality by Major General Samantha Silva after their helpless plight was brought to the notice of the General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division by the civil worker. He is a father of two daughters and newly built toilet facility made them a big relief indeed. Major General Samantha Silva sponsored all the cost related to the project and the facility was built by L/Cpl Shelton D -7 SLAC demonstrating his masonry skills. This project was completed within four days and handed over them on 02 January 2021
