  • 55 Infantry Division Conducts Blood Donation Campaign

    55 Infantry Division, in collaboration with District General Hospital Killinochchi, organized a blood donation campaign at the Office of the Regional Director of Health Services - Killinochchi on 17 May 2024 in line with the Vesak festival. This initiative conducted under the guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardene RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding the 55 Infantry Division, was aimed at addressing the urgent blood needs of Killinochchi District General Hospital Blood Bank.

  • 553 Infantry Brigade Leads a Successful Blood Donation Campaign

    553 Infantry Brigade, in collaboration with District General Hospital Killinochchi, organized a blood donation campaign under the guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardene RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding the 55 Infantry Division, at District Hospital Tharmapuram on 18 May 2024 in line with the Vesak festival.

  • 521 Infantry Brigade Sponsored for an Education Tour for Students in J/MMTM School Point Padro

    52 Infantry Division and 521 Infantry Brigade , the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment coordinated an education visit to the students of J/ Methodist Mission Tamil Mixed school at Katkovalam – Point Padro on 18 May 2024.

  • Offering Refreshments for the Devotees During the Visit to Our Lady of Madhu at st. Nikalas Church, Mirisuvil

    With the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Officers and Other Ranks of 52 Infantry Division along with 523 Infantry Brigade, 23 Battalion the Gemunu Watch and 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment offered snacks for around 1500 devotees who participated to receive the blessing of Our Lady of Madhu during the visit at St. Nikalas Church on 20 April 2024. The devotees extended their gratitudes to the military for such arrangements.

  • Cleaning the Surrounding of Ellankulam Tank Area

    Troops of 4th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Battalion under the 521 Infantry Brigade conducted a cleaning programme at surrounding of Ellankulam Tank area in J/35 Samarabahu Grama Niladhari Division from 0830 hrs on 17 April 2024. The programme was organized with the request of the GN officer.

  • Our Lady of Madhu Progressed Through the Palaly Army Cantonment

    The statue of Our Lady of Madhu is being taken on procession to parishes of the Dioceses in Jaffna Peninsula from 06 April to 30 April. The statue has been progressed through the High Security Zone of Palaly Army Cantonment Premises in the Morning hours on 17 April.

  • Our Lady of Madhu Progressed Around the Security Forces (Jaffna)

    The statue of Our Lady of Madhu is being taken on procession to parishes of the Dioceses in Jaffna Peninsula from 06 April to 30 April. The statue has been progressed around Palaly and reached St. Antony’s Church, Urany on 16 April. Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force (Jaffna) visited the Church and joined the other devotees to welcome Our Lady of Madhu.

  • Cleaning of Selvasannadi Kovil

    To strengthen the relationship with tamil people and as a CIMIC activity 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment conducted a cleaning programme at Selvasannadi Kovil – Thondamannaruon 07 April 2024 on the subject matter, participated 01x10 troops for the cleaning programme.

  • Cleaning of Sri Chandrika Parameshwari Kovil

    The troops of 4 SLSR under 52 Infantry Division and 521 Infantry Brigade conducted a cleaning programme at Sri Chandrika Parameshwari kovil in J/401 PPD GN Division on 08th April 2024 from 0830 hrs to 1130 hrs.

  • Security Forces (Jaffna) Organised New Year Festival for Jaffna Community

    The Security Forces (Jaffna) organised a traditional New Year Festival in simple and charmmannerto mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2024 at the Doraiappa Stadium, Jaffna on 10 April with the presence of large number of Army troops in Jaffna Peninsula and Tamil community of Jaffna, Point Pedro, Kilinochchi, Mulankavil and Pooneryn.
