6th Bn Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Thiriyaya under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), provided labour assistance to mend the vehicle park at GirihaduSaeya, Thiriyaya which was damaged due to the heavy rain.(No of troops participated 00 x 06)

12th Gajaba Regiment located at Batticaloa under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force Headquarters (East) distributed dry ration packs for displaced families in Nochimunei, Nawathkuda, Thirachanthurai, Kalladi Uppadi and Kalladi Telur areas on 28th December 2014.(Troops participated 01 x 05)

15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry located under the 224 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) facilitated to provide a boat service in liaison with Navy for the flood victims on 28th December 2014. (No of troops participated 03 x 15)

23rd Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the 241 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Force (East) AOR of Security Force (East) has taken necessary steps to ease off the inundation of Pothuvil -Siyambalanduwa road with the assistance of Road Development Authority on 28th Dec 2014. (Troops participated 04 x 35)

24th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Force (East) AOR distributed worth Rs.2000 each, dry ration packs for 250 displaced families in Wadumunei and Uththuchenai areas on 27th December 2014.(Troops participated 02 x 10)

9th Gemunu Watch located at Nawaladi under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) has distributed tin sheets for flood affected families to renovate the damaged roofs of their houses due to heavy rains. 200 tin sheets were distributed among 20 families at Panchamaha Viharaya, Punani on 20th Dec 2014.Bde Comd of 233 Brigade and COs also participated for the occasion. (No of troops participated 02 x 10)

6th Bn Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Thiriyaya under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a “Shramadana Campaign” to clean the premises of Nilaweli costal area in Kuchchaweli GS division area on 29th Dec 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 05)

8th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 241 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), provided labour assistance to construct the drainage system running from Periyawadduwan to Perumaweli and mended some places which were damaged due to the heavy rain on 29th Dec 2014 (Troops participated 01 x 08)

11th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 242 Brigade of 24 Division in Security Force (East) AOR organized medical clinics for the villagers residing Bakmitiyawa on 29th Dec 2014, with the assistance of doctors of the Ampara Hospital. (Troops participated 02 x 25)

5th SLAMC located at Habarana under the FMA (East) in Security Force (East) AOR conducted medical clinics for people who have been temporally housed in Medirigiriya area. They have conducted 3 medical clinics respectively in Sinharajapura School, Indrarathana Primary School Onegama, and Vijayarajapura Vidyalaya. About 161 people were benefited from the said clinics held on 28 Dec 2014 (Troops participated 02 x 10)
