As a contemporary measure to educate the Officers and Other Ranks of the Army on the impact of today’s social media which is a double-edged weapon, a two-day workshop was organized and conducted in the 24 infantry Division, under the topic of “Impact on Media on military and society: Positives and negatives” on 11 and 12 of November 2023. The lectures were conducted by the media consultant to the Commander of the Army Mr. Sisira Wijesinghe who has an immense experience on the subject matter and having the experience over 23 years in handling the Army Media in addition to his many other professional qualifications and achievements.
