MAJOR GENERAL D K S K DOLAGE USP nps psc ASSUMES DUTIES AS THE 24TH COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS

Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc ceremonially assumed duties as the 24th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers on Monday, 23rd June 2025, at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda, in accordance with military customs and traditions.

Upon arrival, the newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly received by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier F Joseph USP, at the Main Entrance and was honoured with a Guard Turnout. In a solemn gesture of remembrance, Major General Kapila Dolage laid a wreath at the monument in tribute to the fallen war heroes of the Corps.

The formal assumption of duties took place during a dignified ceremony marked by religious observances, where the Colonel Commandant placed his signature on official documents amidst the chanting of Pirith, symbolizing the commencement of his new responsibilities.

Following the formalities, the Colonel Commandant addressed the Council Members and all Officers of the Corps, outlining his vision, key objectives aimed at further strengthening the Corps’ unity, operational excellence, and regimental spirit.

The day’s proceedings concluded with a tea gathering at the Officers’ Mess, fostering camaraderie and fellowship among the officers present.
