CORNER STONE LAID FOR NEW TWO STOREY ACCOMMODATION BUILDING AT REGIMENTAL WARRANT OFFICERS' AND SERGEANTS' MESS BY MAJOR GENERAL LANKA AMARAPALA RWP RSP ndc psc

In a significant milestone for the SLE Regimental Centre, the Commander, Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc officially laid the corner stone for the new two-storey accommodation building at the Regimental Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess auspiciously amidst religious observances. The ceremony marks the beginning of an ambitious project designed to enhance living facilities for the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of the Regimental Centre and 1 Field Engineer Regiment.

The project is reflects a broader initiative to upgrade infrastructure, ensuring that the facilities meet the evolving accommodation requirement within the camp. The new building will not only enhance the living standards but also foster a greater sense of community among the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.

The ceremony concluded with an interaction with the Regimental Sergeant Major and other Senior Non-Commissioned Officers by the Colonel Commandant. During the interaction, Colonel Commandant emphasized the significance of the new building in improving the quality of life for the members of Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess and further discussed about remaining construction projects, that supposed to be complete immediately.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, including General Officer Commanding of Engineer Division, Centre Commandant, Staff Officers of Regimental Centre and all Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of Regimental Centre and 1 Field Engineers Regiment.
