Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, was invited to be the Chief Guest at the Annual Zonal Sports Meet of Matugama Zonal Education Division, held at C.W.W. Kannangara Central College Ground, Matugama on Friday (09).
Upon arrival at the sports arena, the chief guest was welcomed by Mrs. Prema Wijethunga, the Director of Zonal Education Division Matugama. After a warm reception, the Director extended a gracious welcome to the Chief Guest and esteemed guests.
The sports meet consisted of many athletic events, energetic band displays, and other performances. In an inspiring address, Major General Lanka Amarapala highlighted the Fair Play and Sportsmanship, emphasizing its ability to instil resilience, determination, and unity among students. He motivated the students to excel in both sports and academics. Further, the day’s chief guest penned his memories and comments on visitors’ book.
