9 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT WITH RED CARPET WELCOME MARK CHIEF FIELD ENGINEER

The Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc made his maiden official visit to the 9 Field Engineer Regiment on 31 May 2024. Upon arrival, the newly appointed Chief Field Engineer was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of the 9 Field Engineer Regiment, Major B D J Rangajeewa USP psc SLE by extending a gracious welcome on behalf of all ranks of the regiment.

The Chief Field Engineer accorded with the drive pass and as a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a “Mango” sapling and followed by a troop address while emphasizing the responsibilities when performing role and tasks, importance of maintaining discipline as military personnel, employing the soldiers in different fields of work, balancing the work and personnel life and the value of military service.

Subsequently, The Chief Field Engineer and the officers had an interactive session followed by lunch. He also instructed Officers to look into the welfare of soldiers under their command. Afterwards, the Chief Field Engineer penned his compliments on the visitors’ book.
