Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, visited the Headquarters Plant Engineer Brigade in Kanthale on 3rd May 2024. Colonel HSK Jayasinghe RSP, the Commander of the Plant Engineer Brigade, extended a warm welcome to him upon his arrival.
The visit began with formalities as Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu observed a drive-past. Subsequently, the Brigade Commander introduced all officers and key appointment holders of the brigade. Then the Colonel Commandant addressed the brigade troops, emphasizing their responsibilities in their roles and tasks. Additionally, he underscored the importance of discipline both in military service and civilian life.
After addressing the troops, the Colonel Commandant participated in an officers' tea session, and the program concluded with the signing of the visitor’s book.
