ENGINEER OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS ADORNED WITH QUALIFICATION BADGES WHILE RECEIVING COURSE CERTIFICATES

The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers hosted a glamourous ceremony on 30 April 2024, to recognise and honour, 56 Officers and 87 Other Ranks who successfully completed skill developing courses, including Officers’ BIEDD Course 1/2024, BIEDD Course No. 07 (ORs), Officers’ CBRN Course 1/2024, Officers' Humanitarian Demining Management Course 1/2024, and Humanitarian Demining Basic Course No 44 (ORs).

The Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Members of the Regimental Council, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Corps also participated in this momentous event.

Following Officers and Other Ranks were able to secured the First in Order of Merit in respective courses.

Captain H A R L Hidellarachchi SLE - Out of 24 student Officers of Bomb and Improvised Explosive Devices Disposal Course 1/2024 (Officers).

L/Cpl Jayasekara J A I S – Out of 24 students of Bomb and Improvised Explosive Devices Disposal Course No 07 (ORs).

Captain S H Rodrigo SLE – Out of 23 students of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Response Course 1/2024 (Officers).

Captain S D P D Premarathne SLE – Out of 19 students of Humanitarian Demining Management Course 1/2024 (Officers)

Spr Lahiru S A P – Out of 63 students of Humanitarian Demine Basic Course No 44 (ORs)
