The Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers paid a visit to the ‘Home Away Home’ for the gravely disabled War Heroes, Mihindu Seth Madura – Attidiya. The key objective of the visit was to inquire into the wellbeing of War Heroes under recuperation and rehabilitation on 27 March 2024.
The President of Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena led the visiting team and inmates and the staff of ‘Mihindu Seth Madura’ warmly welcomed the Chairperson and other guests on the arrival.
During the visit, Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena had a cordial interaction with resident War Heroes and inquired wellbeing and the progress of the healing process. All visitors with handicapped War Heroes enjoyed tea followed by donating of 02 Televisions and gift packs for inmates.
The event successfully culminated with the participation of Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc, the Chief of Staff, Office of Chief of Defence Staff; Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP, the Centre Commandant SLE and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLE.
