The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bid a dignified farewell to Major General C A Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC on 18 March 2024, marking the culmination of his distinguished military service spanning over 33 years.
A great and well cultured military Officer, Major General C A Wickramasinghe stands as a beacon of dedication and honor. His tremendous military career reflects not only his military leadership but also the embodiment of outstanding unblemished service with irreproachable career records and professionalism.
The day's events commenced with a Guard Turnout and colorful Guard of Honour at the Regimental Parade Ground, followed by a tea arranged at the Officers' Mess, partook by Senior Officers and Officers.
An evening farewell dinner, graced by Sapper Officers and their spouses hosted in honor of the retiring Senior Officer. The Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General M K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, delivered the farewell note, expressing deep gratitude for the retiring Senior Officer's exemplary service. In response, Major General C A Wickramasinghe extended his compliment to the Colonel Commandant and all ranks for the unwavering support throughout his tenure.
