In a formal ceremony held at Office of Chief Field Engineer, Army Headquarters on Thursday (8), Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc assumed duties as the Chief Field Engineer of Sri Lanka Army, amidst charming religious rites and rituals.
As members of the Maha Sangha commenced chanting Seth Pirith and invoked blessings upon the new Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Lanka Amarapala, placed his signature on an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of his office.
Prior to his new office, Major General Lanka Amarapala was the Commander, Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division.
The assumption of duties ceremony was attended by PSOs, council members of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Senior Officers and Officers of the Army Headquarters.
