Sri Lanka army Engineer Division organized a ‘Vesak Day’ program in line with the Vesak festival under the guidance of General Officer Commanding Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc at Mattegoda Camp. The program consisted with Dhamma sermon, Arms giving, Sramadana.
The Dhamma sermon was delivered by Ven Babarakanda Gnanananda thero Kanda Vihara temple, at convention hall Mattegoda camp. The emphasis on “Sigalowada Suthraya’ made good provision for chirping in to depth of human psychological and biological relationships in day today life in which helps to maintain good balance of human life. The intellectual elaboration with day-to-day life example with profound insight helped division troops to set up and revisit their daily routine and function meaningful manner. General Officer Commanding Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Divisional senior officers, Commanding Officers of 5 fd , 14 CBRNe and 16 Wksp SLE together with senior officers, officers and over 250 other ranks attended for the program.
Furthermore, the sramadana and arms giving at the Thusitha Elders home at Mattegoda also conducted during the day.
