NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS AT SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING IN EMBILIPITIYA

Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration for year 2023 was ceremonially held at the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering camp premises on 14 April 2023. The ceremony was graced by Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander General Engineer Brigade, Commandant of SLSME, CO 15(v) SLE, Senior Officers and Other ranks in SLSME.

The activities of the event commenced with tradition Awurudu rituals, including lighting the Oil Lamp and sharing Awurudu sweetmeats followed by series of tradition Awurudu games, which added an unforgettable experience for all the participants. In addition, the various games and colorful activities, created a delightful festive moods to all the participants.
