The Regimental Centre Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Brigadier M Mayadunna RSP USP made an official visit to 9 Field Engineer Regiment at Koakavil, Kilinochchi.
The Centre Commandant was formally welcomed by Commanding Officer - 9 SLE, Major G A D Alwis RSP psc SLE and at the meantime 9 SLE troops awarded a Guard Turnout. The visit was followed by a series of activities such as Commanding Officer’s briefing, Tree planting, Troops address, Unit line visit, and staff Lunch at the Officers’ Mess.
During the troops address, Regimental Centre Commandant emphasized that the functioning of RHQ SLE on administrative matters, importance of training of Officers and Other Ranks, welfare facilities of the soldiers, discipline of the soldiers.
