FELICITATION PARADE TO NEWLY PROMOTED TWO STAR GENERAL

Major General BB Randeniya was honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour for his promotion to the rank of Major General on 14 February 2020 at the Home of Sappers, Panagoda.

The newly promoted Major General Buwaneka Randeniya warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant Colonel Mangala Mayadunna on his arrival to the Corps Headquarter. Thereafter, he was bestowed with Guard Turnout at the main entrance.

Then Major General Buwaneka Randeniya laid a floral wreath to the war heroes’ monument as a tribute to the fallen war heroes who made supreme sacrifices on behalf of the sovereignty of the Motherland. Then he took salute at the Guard of Honour in conformity with the military traditions.

The occasion was marked with a Tea at the Officers’ Mess where the Chief Guest was greeted by all officers witnessed the occasion. Presently Major General Buwaneka Randeniya is holding the appointment of Commander Forward Maintenance Area (East).

Regimental Council Members, the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers and several others officers were present at the ceremony.
