SENIOR OFFICERS HOLIDAY BUNGALOW AND ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES FOR OTHER RANKS DECLARE OPEN AT MINNERIYA

The newly constructed Senior Officers holiday bungalow and Other Ranks accommodation facility were declared open by the Colonel Commandant and the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe amidst religious observances on 18 January 2018. The daysâ Chief Guest, Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe on his arrival at the 7 Field Engineer Regiment, was warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Punya Karunathilake the Commanding Officer 7 Field Engineer Regiment and accorded with a Guard Turnout. Afterwards the Chief Guest symbolically cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque of newly constructed Senior Officers Holiday Bungalow. The Colonel Commandant along with other Senior Officers graced at the occasion subsequently inspected the accommodation facilities and appreciated the effort of the construction team.

The ceremonial opening was symbolized a planting of a mango sapling at the 7 Field Engineer Regiment Premises. All gathered for a tea and the Chief Guest gave away the gift parcels for the construction team for their untiring effort. The programme culminated with the lunch hosted to the Chief Guest and all other distinguished invitees.
