Over the past sixty years, United Nations peacekeeping has evolved into one of the main tools used by the international community to manage conflict crises that pose a threat to international peace and Security. Sri Lanka Army has already taken part in the maintenance of international peace and Security. \r\n \r\nSri Lanka Army received an another opportunity to participate for UN peace keeping operation by contributing troops to United Nations mission in Mali. Corps of Engineers has contributed one Officer and 15 Other Ranks for the new contingent in Mali.\r\n\r\nThe Colonel Commandant and the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General S Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc extended Corps of Engineers best wishes for the troops along with Commander Engineer Brigade, Brigadier SJMAR Senevirathne RWP USP psc and the Centre Conmmandant, Brigadier IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc on 11 December 2017 at the Regimental Centre Panagoda.
