NEWLY PROMOTED MAJOR GENERAL FELICITATED AT HOME OF SAPPERS
Major General MMS Perera psc, more popularly known as “Mervin” among his associates, warmly welcomed by the home of Sappers, where he was accorded with a Guard of Honour at the Regimental Headquarters Parade square at 0900 hrs on 21st June 2017 in respect of his promotion to the rank of Major General.\r\nMajor General Marvin Perera psc was warmly welcome by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier Nishanatha Herath RSP USP psc at the main entrance. Initially he inspected the guard turn out and tribute to fallen heroes at monument. Thereafter he was accorded with the Guard of Honour at the Parade Square.\r\nThe occasion was marked with a Tea party at the Officers\' Mess where the Chief Guest was greeted by the Colonel Commandant and Security Force Commander (West) Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP RSP Msc ndu psc and all Sapper Officers witnessed the function.\r\n
