SEVA VANITHA DONATES A NEW HOUSE TO DEPENDENT WAR HERO
The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) through their housing grant programme, gave away one more house to dependent War Hero S/240606 Corporal Dasanayake RDPS who lost his both eyes’ vision during the humanitarian operations on 3 August 2008 due to an explosion. The house donation ceremony was held on 2 October 2016 at his house Rambukkana. The construction of the house was under taken by 6 Field Engineers Regiment of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and total cost spent for the house (including land) was Rs.1,675,000.00.
Brigadier AN Amarasekara USP Centre Commandant Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Lieutenant Colonel WS Gamage RSP USP psc SLE Commanding Officer 6 Field Engineers Regiment and several others were present at the occasion.
