VISIT OF THE COMMANDER ENGINEER DIVISION MAJ GEN SHEWANTH KULATHUNGA RWP RSP VSV USP psc TO SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING

The General Officer Commanding Engineer Division Maj Gen SA Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc paid an official visit to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering on 14th June 2023. He was received warmly by the Commandant SLSME Col MKV Manoharan USP and was accorded a Guard Turnout. After the Guard Turnout Maj Gen Shewanth Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc planted a Mango sapling in the SLSME office premises. Subsequently to the tree planting ceremony the GOC Maj Gen Shewanth Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc addressed the staff of SLSME

In his address he pointed out that the SLSME is the backbone of the Corps of Engineers, since it is responsible to produce efficient and effective Officers and Other Ranks to the Corps. Further, he stated that it is the responsibility of all Instructors to ensure that they contribute to the success of all Military Engineering Courses and other courses conduct at SLSME

Finally he appreciated the effort taken by all staff of SLSME in carrying out the training program with the limited resources available. The visit culminated with lunch at the Officers mess at SLSME
