Chief Field Engineer and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General AN Amarasekara USP ndu inspected the progress of Projects which are being conducted by 5 and 12 Field Engineer Regiments in Kalutara and Galle districts on 29 September 2021. The visiting Chief Field Engineer was received and accompanied by the Commander General Engineering Brigade, Brigadier PPA Perera psc Hdmc and educated the current progress of the projects. Renovation of four playgrounds of Ihala Hewessa Primary College, Walallawita Central College and Lihiniyawa Primary College and proposed road renovation projects of Pitadeniya Bridge to Wathugalla kanda road, Pitadeniya Bridge to Mr.Sunil Jayasinghe’s house road, Mediripitiya to Dombagoda road and Mediripitiya to Thippalahena road were inspected during the visit.
The Chief Field Engineer after reviewing the progress instructed troops to expedite the progress of work and to meet the stipulated completion dates. Colonel Project General Engineering Brigade, Commanding Officers of 5 and 12 Field Engineer Regiments also participated in the visit.
